Shared Ownership Homes in Claughton on Brock and elsewhere

There are affordable shared ownership properties available for eligible first time buyers. A quick overview of the scheme and the main requirements for eligibility is given:- - You must be a first time buyer or first time buyer after a relationship breakdown; - Your household income must be under £80,000 per annum The scheme offers purchasers the potential to buy a share ranging from 40-75% (initially, based on an affordability assessment) of the value of the property, meaning they require less deposit but will be living in a property valued at considerable more than they may be able to initially afford. There will be a reduced rent payable on the share owned by Redwing Living. The intention of the reduced rent is to allow the purchaser to save up to buy more shares in the future with the overall goal of eventually owning 100% of the property and the freehold. Information relating to our current account reporting, income & expenditure and Annual Audit.

The accounts for the current year (ends 31-3-2018) are updated as receipts and payments are processed and we then upload the latest version to this website. This enables our residents to see how and what their money is being used for most particularly those items of expenditure that exceed £100 pounds. Our income is of course mainly provided via the annual precept that is raised as part of the Council Tax;in addition we are sometimes able to obtain grants from various agencies to supplement our Parish Council income. The Annual internal and external audits of our accounts and management of affairs for the year 2016-17 have recently been completed and the results and details can be found in the downloads section of this website, simply click on downloads and then select information and a list of relevant documents will appear. These documents include a governance declaration, accounts statement and the internal and external auditors declaration and reports. Further information on the accounts and viewing can be arranged by contacting the Clerk.
