The Memorial Hall Committee have installed a defibrillator on the exterior of the Memorial Hall in Stubbins Lane. If anyone wishes to obtain further information or is interested in obtaining training in the use of this equipment then please contact the Parish Clerk for further information.
The accounts for the current year (ends 31-3-2020) are updated as receipts and payments are processed and we then upload the latest version to this website. Readers may have already seen the banners at the village hall and the junction of Lodge Lane with New Lane advertising B4RN. These have been put there to remind Claughton and Calder Vale rural residents living to the East of the M6 that B4RN fibre broadband is going to become available to their properties within a few months time. Plans have been submitted by B4RN and approved and grant funding will be forthcoming from the Government. B4RN have declared that the project for Brock and Calder has now progressed to the detail preparation stage and the detailed route plans and Wayleaves required to allow digging and cable ducting to be layed is moving ahead rapidly.
